It was a huge undertaking in a short time scale and the pressure for it to succeed was great which made it even harder. This endpoint didn't show up when I did the initial enumeration.“I need to record my thanks and appreciation to you and your team who have worked tirelessly over the weekend and the last few days to make the Microsoft event such a success. However, when I register for callbacks on my devices, if I unplug the USB mic I get the correct state change along with this:ĭevice name: "Internal AUX Jack (High Definition Audio Device)"Įndpoint ID string: "#3 It works pretty much as you described, it seems the mic is doing a mute/unmute in hardware which simulates a PTT.Īnother question - when I enumerate my endpoints, I get 2 speakers (usb and built-in) along with a USB microphone input. The levelĪlso jumps around a bit (not much) with PTT inactive, so if I went the audio meter route I'd have to put in a bit of padding to 1) not detect false positives and 2) not notify when the level inadvertently dips. Your suggestion could work, although it seems that there's always a bit of signal present even without PTT being activated. About the OS not getting PTT events - that's certainly throws a monkey wrench into my design.
